To share or not to share? That is the question. The answer? SHARE! People love to share and in this digital age, sharing is easier than ever.
I have heard people say, “the gold is in your email list.” Email is a great way to connect with your audience in order to share. You share information, events, blog posts, and more.
But what about your audience?
How do they share your stuff?
One way: social share buttons. You can add this handy feature to your emails with just a little HTML code. Note: some email services offer this feature as a simple drag and drop function. While convenient, it’s still nice to know how to code it yourself for customization. This tutorial is especially helpful if you have an email service provider that doesn’t offer this feature. The service used in this tutorial is MailChimp, but I’m currently crushing on ConvertKit Full Disclosure: This is an affiliate link, which means if you purchase through this link, we'll receive a small compensation at no additional cost to you. This is how we keep the site free. Thanks! .
Watch the following tutorial for a quick how-to and when you’re done, grab the code below to try for yourself!
Here’s the code you want to use. Be sure to watch the video to see exactly how to use this code in action.
Email is not the only place this code will work! A lot of people already have plugins that allow for social sharing on blog posts, but the code would work just as well here!
^^^See what I mean?!^^^
Happy Sharing!
